Today 20th February is national ‘Love your pet’ day. We all obviously love our own pets but we also love the local pub dog, so many good locals come complete with a friendly fury companion who is always looking to make friends with the patrons and obviously a sneaky crisp usually goes down well!
February 11th is ‘make a friend day’, as an adult surely one of the easiest ways to make friends is to call in to a nice local inn, you will always find some regulars stood at the bar waiting to entertain new faces with their stories. Just another reason why we all love the great British Boozer.
Thankfully we are now coming to the end of the worst month in the calendar for our publicans, between ‘Dryanuary’ and the annual New Years resolutions to ‘get fit’, January can be a quiet month in the pubs and clubs. February however is when it all kicks back in to life with The 6 Nations being a major draw, with lots of venues supplying half time snacks or after match entertainment, February always brings the crowds back to the pubs.
Wishing you all a Happy Halloween! Hope you have lots of fun and full tills
Each year the brewing industry loses many millions of pounds through the theft and misappropriation of kegs, casks (beer barrels) and dispense gas cylinders. We represent the interests of over 1000 members from micro to international brewers, cider makers and the major suppliers of dispense gases to the industry. The aim of this website is to provide information about Keg Watch to licensees, the industry, the police and the public and to raise awareness of the issues involved. If you are involved in handling stolen kegs, the penalties are severe. Keg Watch pays rewards for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible…
